Siem Reap

Ladies and gents,
After approximately 48 hours on the road, we finally arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia. “48 hours,” you say, “that sounds awful!” Well, yes, it was a bit rough, and it was only supposed to be 27 hours from San Fran to here. Air China cancelled the flight from Beijing to Siem Reap without telling anyone, apparently, so we got to stay in Beijing overnight. The next morning, we flew to Guangzhou then on to our destination.

Luckily, we got about 10 minutes’ worth of WiFi to let our hostel know we were not arriving. They got the message and picked us up at the airport for free! Now, for those who haven’t been to SE Asia before, there’s a special type of vehicle called a tuk-tuk that they use as taxis. We were probably the two happiest tuk-tuk passengers ever, as it meant that our journey was finally over and the trip could begin.

See how happy we are?

Also, below is my hilariously bad drawing of a tuk-tuk. Post jokes about my art skills in the comments.
